Curtains in Schools – Understanding your Legal Requirements
Under the National Construction Code (NCC), schools are classified as a Class 9b Building, a building of public occupancy; therefore must comply with certain fire safety standards. Curtains and drapes must comply with Australian Standard AS1530.3 and if in NSW, must also comply with AS1530.2.
